They also have to change the address on the Aadhar card every time they change their home. You can use the rent agreement to update the Aadhaar card. This is a valid document for this. 

- Valid address proof is rent agreement

You can easily change your address on the Aadhaar self service portal of Aadhaar. You can also use your Rent Agreement as a valid ID proof. Many people complain that the rent agreement is rejected, but this is not true. We are telling here two special steps from which it will not be rejected.

- If you do this, the agreement will not be rejected 

Register your rent agreement. If the rent agreement is not registered then UIDAI will reject it. It is also important to scan every page of the rent agreement and upload it separately. If you upload all the pages of the agreement together then they will be rejected. You also have to keep in mind that the rent agreement should be in your name. If it is in the name of your spouse, mother-father or children, then it will not be valid.

The original agreement will not run photocopy

 If you change the address in your Aadhaar card on the Self Service Portal, then you will have to scan all the pages of the rent agreement. You can also convert it to PDF format. If you go to the Aadhaar service center and get the address changed in your Aadhaar card, then for this you will have to bring the original copy of your rent agreement with you. If you take a photocopy of it, it will be rejected.

How to update address
1) First of all visit the official site of UIDAI https://uidai.gov.in/. 
2) Go to the tab with My Aadhaar on the homepage. 
3) Click on the tab of Address Update Request (Online). 
3) When the new page opens, click on the update address tab. 
4) Now fill the Aadhaar card in the page that opens and log in. 
5) After logging in, OTP will come on your registered mobile number. 
6) Go to the portal by putting OTP in the given column. 
7) Now upload your registered agreement here. 
8) After uploading you will get a reference number.

9) Go to the Aadhaar center with the reference number and your states address. After this, your new Aadhaar will be sent to that address.

Rent Agreement is one of the list of 44 ID Proofs, which UIDAI declares valid. This includes passport, bank passbook, statement, voter ID card, driving license, telephone bill, water and electricity bill.
